HiYa Karate’s Competition Team is open to all students age 7 and up with the approval of their instructor and parents. Categories of competition include hyung-sik (forms), Kumite (point-sparring), and weapons. We compete on a local, regional, and national level with our martial arts leagues and surrounding studios.

The team has achieved several successes over the years and here are a few:

• Grand champion for sparring

• National point sparring team athletes

• Upcoming coach of the year

• Over 200 medals earned in one season by 25 competitors
